ENPA Verona
ENPA VERONA
The ENPA (Ente Nazionale Protezione Animali – National Animal Protection Agency) is the oldest animal protection organization in Italy, founded in 1871 by Garibaldi. It is a non-profit, apolitical, and self-funded association, with around 160 branches across Italy. The Verona Branch has been active in the Verona area for many years, initially managing a cat shelter with about twenty cats and a few feline colonies scattered throughout the territory. Since 2015, the association has been managing the ‘Rifugio del Cane e del Gatto – centro benessere animale – Dog and Cat Shelter – Animal Wellness Center,” which provides care for over 200 dogs and 50 cats. ENPA Verona is run entirely by volunteers and promotes awareness and fundraising initiatives.
