B to Be | Hellas Verona Women Honoured: Sustainability, Community and Inclusion at the Heart of the Gialloblù Project

Rome – Today, Monday 25 May, the event 'B to Be – One Day Along a Season', organised by the Women’s Serie B Division to celebrate and conclude the 2025/26 season, took place. During the event, held in the Hall of Honour at the CONI headquarters in Rome, Hellas Verona Women was recognised alongside other clubs for the work carried out in the fields of sustainability and social responsibility.

Representing the Club were Nicoletta Manfrin, Team Manager of the Gialloblù side, and Zaccaria Tommasi, Head of the Women’s Technical Area, who spoke during the event attended by Women’s Serie B Division President Laura Tinari, FIGC General Secretary Marco Brunelli and Italy Women’s National Team Head Coach Andrea Soncin.

Among the highlighted initiatives, particular attention was given to the School Project promoted by Hellas Verona Women throughout the local area. The initiative was designed to share the values of football and sport with younger generations, with the direct involvement of the First Team players, who once again took part in meetings held in schools this season.

Attention was also focused on the relationship built with the For Special programme, another important part of the Club’s social project. Throughout the season, the players of Hellas Verona Women took part in shared activities with Hellas Verona For Special, including a training session organised before Christmas involving younger children not competing in the dedicated championship.

During the speech, mention was also made of the 'Double Header', the initiative that saw the women’s team play at the 'Marcantonio Bentegodi' Stadium immediately after the men’s team match against Parma Calcio 1913. The event, strongly supported by the Club to increase the visibility of women’s football, proved so successful in Verona that it inspired other Women’s Serie B clubs such as Como 1907, Cesena FC and Frosinone Calcio to follow suit.

During the day, moreover, Zaccaria Tommasi, in his role as Federal Councillor, presented an award to Primavera 2 Group B top scorer Sofia Mancini of SS Lazio Women, who scored 23 goals during the season.
