Club Note

Verona - With reference to the article published today by the newspaper L'Arena, and subsequently republished on its website, written by journalist Gianluca Tavellin, Hellas Verona FC categorically denies the existence of any negotiations, financial proposals or discussions with the German EWE Group or Iscom Riverclack concerning the sale of the Club or any work related to the new stadium project.

The article also refers to an individual's attendance at the Club's last home match. The Club has no record of this person's attendance at the stadium, and this person is unknown to both the ownership and the Club.

The dissemination of such clearly unfounded and misleading reports serves only to generate misinformation and speculation, to the detriment of the Club and its fans.

The Club expresses its astonishment that a major newspaper in the city has, once again, published and disseminated information that is fabricated and entirely detached from reality. Freedom of the press must always be safeguarded; however, freedom of the press does not mean having the right to disseminate false or fabricated information.

The Club reserves the right to take all appropriate action to protect its image and reputation against anyone who continues to disseminate inaccurate information.
