Verona – It will be a weekend of away fixtures and league debuts for all our Gialloblù youth teams, who will be involved in their respective national youth championships.
On Sunday 13 September, the Under-15 and Under-16 sides will begin their respective league campaigns, with both teams travelling to face Vicenza on Matchday 1. The format from last season has also been confirmed for the 2026/27 campaign, with the teams coached by Jacopo De Paolini (U15) and Alessandro Montorio (U16) placed in Group B, consisting of 13 teams. At the end of the regular season, the top 5 teams will qualify for the national Round of 16, where they will face the best sides from Groups A, B and C. Among the teams the Gialloblù will face in their group are the reigning Italian champions, Milan.
Fabio Moro’s Under-17 side will travel to the shores of Lake Como at 3PM this Sunday, following their win over Inter in their opening home fixture. With goals from Burlan and Greco, Verona made a winning start to their campaign in a difficult match against the Nerazzurri, but the Lariani were equally impressive. Como beat Padova 3-2, thanks to a brace from Cauli and a goal from Kennedy, securing three important points away from home.
The Under-18 side coached by Francesco Caldana are coming off an excellent 0-3 win away to Milan, secured thanks to a brace from Dutan and a goal from Lunardon. The Gialloblù will open Sunday’s fixtures with an away match against Napoli in the fixture corresponding to Matchday 3.
