Pavanel: “Credit to the players for keeping their heads; we take home an excellent point"

Turin – The comments from Head Coach Massimo Pavanel following Hellas Verona-Torino, Matchday 5 of the 2026/27 Primavera 1.

Coach, how do you assess the final result today? “Torino proved to be as strong as we expected: a team built to challenge near the top of the table, with slightly older and very interesting players. They showed a clear style of play, shaped by a highly experienced coach. We expected a strong team and that was evident in the first half. The players did well not to lose their heads and then, through the substitutions, we managed to regain control from a technical standpoint, finishing the game deserving the draw based on the chances we created. Although Torino had two or three chances to put the game beyond us at 2-0, we came close to winning it towards the end. We take home an excellent draw, considering that we came from two goals down against a strong team. This is a very important sign of maturity.”
