Primavera 1 2025/26 | Roma win at the Olivieri

Verona – Hellas Verona-Roma, Matchday 38 of the Primavera 1 2025/26 season, ended 0-2 at the Olivieri Stadium.

The match at the Olivieri began with a huge chance for Verona in the 6th minute: Szimionas unleashed a powerful right-footed strike from outside the box, but the ball crashed against the crossbar and went out.

Roma created their first opportunity in the 17th minute through Arena, who attempted a delicate chip from distance but failed to hit the target.

Verona came close to taking the lead again in the 25th minute: after sustained pressure inside the Giallorossi penalty area, Intrabartolo tried a cross-shot that struck the crossbar, the second time the woodwork denied the Gialloblù.

In the 37th minute Roma threatened through Almaviva’s run down the left flank, but Borghi reacted well to keep the score level.

At the 43rd minute the referee awarded a penalty to the visitors for a foul on Fabbri. Arena stepped up and fired his shot under the crossbar to give Roma the lead.

After two minutes of added time, the first half ended with Roma ahead by one goal.

The second half opened with a more balanced and cautious rhythm, and in the 62nd minute Roma tried from long range with Almaviva, but the effort went wide.

In the 66th minute the visitors nearly doubled their advantage through Nardin, whose right-footed shot from inside the area struck the lower part of the post before going out.

Roma’s second goal arrived in the 80th minute: Panico struck a powerful and precise effort from outside the box that gave Borghi no chance.

After four minutes of stoppage time, the match ended 2-0 in favour of Roma.

Verona finish the season on 48 points and will compete in Primavera 1 for the sixth consecutive year next season.
