Primavera 1 2026/27 | Monza win at the Olivieri

Verona – The match between Hellas Verona and Monza, valid for Matchday 3 of the 2026/27 Primavera 1 Championship, ended 1-2.

As for the match action, Monza started strongly, winning a free kick from the edge of the box less than 120 seconds into the game. Scaramelli went for the top corner, but his effort sailed over the crossbar.

In the 8th minute, Akale beat his man down the left and delivered an outside-of-the-foot cross towards the far post for Bisoffi. The winger got ahead of his marker and diverted the ball with the tip of his boot, with the ball kissing the post before finding the back of the net. Hellas took the lead.

Riding the momentum, Bisoffi threatened again, cutting in from the right and curling a left-footed effort towards the far corner. His shot narrowly missed the post to Ballabio’s left.

In the 18th minute, after an initial clearance from a corner, Martone sent the ball back into the box towards the far post, finding Zanni in the best position. The number 7 rose from close range and beat Borghi. Monza equalised.

Verona did not seem affected by conceding. Bisoffi and Peci both went close in the 19th and 28th minutes respectively, but Ballabio was alert on both occasions.

In the 31st minute, Akale broke forward down the left on a counter-attack and reached the edge of the box, where he chose to find the run of Casagrande behind him. The number 19 curled an effort towards the far corner, but his shot struck the far post and went out of play.

After two minutes of added time, the first half ended 1-1.

In the second half, Peci played De Rossi through in the 46th minute. The number 10 was denied by Ballabio as he attempted to round the goalkeeper.

Monza threatened again in the 52nd minute, with Zanni heading a ball delivered directly from a throw-in. Borghi gathered it centrally.

In the 56th minute, Fogliaro, played through after Verona lost possession while playing out from the back, controlled the ball and fired a low right-footed shot into the bottom corner to Borghi’s right. Monza took a 2-1 lead.

Between the 79th and 86th minutes, the Gialloblù repeatedly tried their luck from distance, first through Gardin and then Peci, but the score remained unchanged.

After four minutes of added time, the match ended 1-2.

Verona’s next fixture will be on Saturday, September 12 at 1PM, when the Gialloblù will face Milan at the Olivieri in a match valid for Matchday 4 of the 2026/27 Primavera 1 Championship.
