Primavera Test Match | Gialloblù draw their first friendly in Folgaria against Genoa

Folgaria – The Gialloblù Primavera have completed their second friendly match of the season. Hellas Verona’s youngsters faced Genoa’s Under-20 side, coached by Domenico Criscito, at the ‘La Pineta’ Sports Centre in Folgaria, where Massimo Pavanel’s team are also holding their summer training camp.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw. The Gialloblù started brightly, immediately taking control of the game, and broke the deadlock in the 18th minute through a precise angled strike from captain Jurgen Peci. After a first half dominated by Verona, the teams went into the break with the score at 1-0. In the second half, following the usual series of substitutions, Genoa equalised through Scaglione, who beat Culi with a well-executed lob.

The score remained unchanged and the Gialloblù’s first friendly in Folgaria therefore ended in a 1-1 draw.

The next friendly is scheduled for Sunday, 2 August, against Bassano’s First Team, again at the ‘La Pineta’ Sports Centre in Folgaria, with kick-off at 5 p.m.
