'Sante Begali' Award | Edmundsson leads the standing after five matchdays
Verona – The Sante Begali Award will once again be presented during the 2026/27 Serie BKT season. The award is dedicated to the memory of the great former Gialloblù player, who was Verona captain for many years between 1949 and 1962, passed away in 2008, and is remembered for his great sportsmanship on the pitch. Now in its 18th edition, the award will be presented at the end of the season to the Hellas Verona player with the best disciplinary record in relation to the number of minutes played.
After five matchdays, Gialloblù captain Andrias Edmundsson leads the standings with just one yellow card in 440 minutes played so far. Samuele Mulattieri is second, having received no disciplinary sanctions in 406 minutes on the pitch. Domagoj Bradaric completes the provisional podium, with no yellow cards in 360 minutes played.
Rounding out the Top 5 are Nicola Leali and Amin Sarr. The goalkeeper has not been booked in 360 minutes between the posts, while the striker has one yellow card to his name in 310 minutes played.
