Verona – Hellas Verona FC vs AS Roma, Matchday 38 of the 2025/26 Serie A Enilive season, ended 0-2.

In the 1st minute, Verona created the first chance of the match. Frese played a long ball for Suslov, who got past Hermoso and advanced toward Svilar’s goal. From the left edge of the box, he squared the ball to Bowie, who attempted a left-footed volley. The Roma goalkeeper gathered comfortably.

In the 32nd minute, Roma were awarded a free kick after a foul on Dybala. The Argentine took the set piece himself, but Montipò made a brilliant save to push the ball out for a corner.

At the 39th minute, Frese sent another long ball down the flank, which was cleared by the opposition defense. Suslov collected the loose ball and struck a volley from distance, but Svilar saved again.

One minute later, Lovric found Bowie, who beat Ghilardi and fired on goal, only for Svilar to deny him and deflect the ball behind for a corner. After one minute of added time, the first half ended goalless.

Roma had the first opportunity of the second half in the 52nd minute: Soulé tried his luck with a free kick from the edge of the area, but Montipò reacted well and tipped it over for a corner.

From the resulting corner, Bowie handled the ball and the referee awarded a penalty to the Giallorossi. Malen stepped up and tried to wrong-foot Montipò, but the Verona goalkeeper saved the spot kick. On the rebound, Dybala crossed the ball back into the box for Malen, who made no mistake this time and scored the opener for 1-0.

Roma threatened again on the counterattack in the 65th minute: Malen led the break and played Rensch through on goal. From the byline, Rensch cut the ball back for Dybala, whose first-time effort was denied by Montipò’s feet.

Verona attempted to respond in the 84th minute when Sarr won possession in midfield, set himself up and struck from distance with his left foot, but the effort went wide.

Deep into stoppage time, Roma doubled their lead: Dybala received the ball in the box and flicked it with his heel into the path of El Shaarawy, who finished from a tight angle to seal the final 2-0 scoreline.
