Serie B Femminile 2025/26 | Final away match of the season for the Gialloblù, derby against Vicenza on Sunday

Verona - Final away match of the season for the Gialloblù, who this weekend will take the field for the 24th matchday of the Serie B Femminile 2025/26.

The opponent that coach Joan Moll’s team will face this week is Vicenza, coached by Fabio Viviani. The match is scheduled for Sunday, May 10 at 3 PM, at the municipal stadium of Grisignano di Zocco, and will be broadcast live and free on VivoAzzurro TV.

Verona are coming off a 1-0 defeat last Sunday against Bologna. After an evenly balanced first half, the match was decided by a goal from Cavallin for the rossoblù, who in the 70th minute finished a quick combination between Tironi and Jansen to score the decisive goal. Hellas currently sit in 16th place, with a five-point lead over Venezia: a win would secure mathematical safety.

Vicenza arrive in strong form, with a run of four positive results: three wins against Venezia, Lumezzane and Brescia, and a draw against Cesena. The biancorosse are currently in 7th place with 32 points, level with Brescia. In the first leg, the derby between the two Veneto sides ended in a goalless draw.

These are coach Joan Moll’s words ahead of the match: “We approach this penultimate game with great desire and a positive attitude. We are aware of the difficulties, but also of our possibilities, abilities and skills. We must continue on our path, playing as we do every match and trying to compete at our best. Unfortunately, results are not coming, but we are convinced that by continuing like this, they will arrive soon. We hope already this weekend in Vicenza, in the derby. We go there to play a good match and compete at our best, knowing it will be a difficult and intense game. The opponent has several strengths: great intensity, quick transitions and a very clear playing idea. We will certainly face difficulties, but we want to overcome them through unity, team spirit, effort, courage and determination.”

The referee for the match will be Marco Targhetta (Castelfranco Veneto AIA section), while the assistants will be Marco Raccagna (Treviso AIA section) and Stefano Yu (Treviso AIA section).
