Serie B Women 2025/26 | The league resumes with tomorrow’s early match against Res Donna Roma

Verona – After the international break over the past two weeks, the 2025/26 Serie B Women’s championship returns, with the Gialloblù ready to take the field in Saturday’s early fixture.

This week, the team coached by Joan Moll will face Res Donna Roma, managed by Alessandro Di Martino. The match is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at 3 PM at the ‘Raimondo Vianello’ Sports Center in Rome, and will be available live for free on VivoAzzurro TV.

In their last league match, played on April 4, Hellas Verona Women were defeated 0–1 by Frosinone Calcio. It was a balanced game, decided only in stoppage time by a goal from Cinquegrana. The Gialloblù are now looking to bounce back in the early match against Res Donna Roma. The first-leg meeting, played at the ‘Bentegodi’ Stadium, ended 1–3 in favor of the Roman side, with the only Verona goal scored by Linda Montesi.

Res Donna Roma currently sit fifth in the standings with 36 points, earned through 10 wins, 6 draws, and 6 losses. In their last match, they secured a convincing 3–0 away victory against Brescia Calcio Femminile, increasing their lead over the Lombard side and narrowing the gap on Bologna FC Women. The team boasts one of the most prolific attacks in the league, with 43 goals scored - many of them by Claudia Palombi, who is currently fourth in the top scorers’ chart with 10 goals.

Here are the words of coach Joan Moll ahead of the match: "Over the past two weeks, we’ve done good work together with the players and staff, and we’re ready to face this important match against Res. In Serie B, there are quality players, high-level coaches, and well-structured clubs. There are no easy games. Every small detail can determine the outcome of a season, especially the mental aspect. I feel calm and confident about the work I see every day because the players train well and show great commitment, and that makes me very happy. However, every match is a story of its own: we must be able to react to difficulties and overcome them together, to steer the game in the direction we want. We’re going to Rome with enthusiasm and a desire to do well, to compete and try to achieve a positive result. The team is doing well and improving in several areas: personality, ideas, play, and character. A bit of bad luck and other factors haven’t yet allowed us to get a win, but I’m convinced it will come soon, because hard work eventually pays off. Our positive attitude deserves to be rewarded—for the team, the club, and the journey we’re on".

The referee for the match will be Paul Aka Iheukwumere (AIA L’Aquila), assisted by Federico Amelii (AIA Teramo) and Stefano Brandimarte (AIA Teramo).
