Serie BKT 2026/27 | Gialloblù Face Bologna on Matchday 7

Verona - Vincenzo De Martino's side continues its campaign with a visit to Bologna Women.

On Sunday, November 1, at 2:30 PM, Matchday 7 of the 2026/27 Women's Serie B will take place at the 'L. Bonarelli' Sports Complex in Granarolo, featuring Bologna Women against Hellas Verona. The match will be streamed live on Vivo Azzurro TV.

The Gialloblù, coming off a convincing home display against Genoa, conclude October aiming for their fourth consecutive positive result. Montesi's first-half header allowed Verona to cause serious trouble for the Ligurian team, one of the primary candidates for promotion to Serie A.

The point secured against Genoa keeps Hellas right on the heels of the top positions, where a chasing pack is beginning to form behind league leaders Frosinone, who sit at the top with 14 points. The Gialloblù currently hold seventh place in the standings, trailing the trio of Moncalieri, Lumezzane, and Genoa by just two points.

Sunday's opponent will be Bologna Women, coached by Jacopo Leandri. The Romagna-born tactician brings vast experience in women's football, both as a technical staff member with the Italian National Team during recent World Cups and European Championships, and as a head coach across Serie A and Serie B (Dinamo Ravenna, Castelvecchio, San Zaccaria).

The Rossoblù have tallied 7 points so far, courtesy of victories over Genoa (4–0) and Venezia (1–3), alongside a draw with Catania. In the previous round, they suffered a 2-1 away defeat against Cesena in the dying moments of the match, wiping out Arcangeli's opening goal. Despite their back-to-back slip-ups, one of which came against table-topping Frosinone, Bologna remains a genuine promotion contender.

Sunday's clash will also feature several reunions on both sides: Hellas will come up against Alessia Rognoni as an opponent. The 1997 born forward wore the Verona shirt for three seasons from 2021 to 2024, scoring an impressive 20 goals during the 2023/24 campaign. Conversely, Valentina Colombo and Benedetta De Biase will face Bologna, where they spent three seasons and earned promotion to Serie B in 2023.

Vincenzo De Martino shared his thoughts on the eve of the match: "Bologna is a quality opponent and will be tough to face. We need to focus primarily on ourselves, bringing our qualities onto the pitch and approaching the game with courage, intensity, and determination. We know what we want, and we will do everything to achieve our objective."

The match will be refereed by Gianpasquale Tedesco (AIA Battipaglia), assisted by Leonardo Agnolon (AIA Padua) and Matteo Baldo (AIA Padua).
