#VeronaCamp40ne | The special kit for the 40th anniversary of the Scudetto / VIDEO
Verona - On 12th May 1985, Verona made history by becoming the only team from a non-regional administrative centre to win the Scudetto in the single-group Serie A. Forty years later, Hellas Verona and technical partner Joma are proud to present the special kit dedicated to that glorious and historic achievement.

The launch of the fourth shirt is just the beginning. It is the most representative moment of a series of initiatives that the Club wanted to carry out to pay tribute to that team of champions who became legends, coached by Osvaldo Bagnoli, the architect who knew how to turn the dream into reality.
The kit is a clear reference to the uniform worn by the Gialloblù in Atalanta-Verona, the match that on 12th May 1985 sanctioned the mathematically achieved conquest of the Scudetto with a matchday to spare.
ONLY FOR ONE DAY
The special kit dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Italian championswill be worn by coach Zanetti's First team in just one match, Verona-Lecce, scheduled for the weekend of 10th and 11th May (date and time still to be announced by the Lega Serie A). On that day, various activities will be organised in the stadium to celebrate the Gialloblù's achievement and to celebrate this milestone together with the fans.
THE JERSEY
The iconic jersey from the Atalanta-Verona match played on 12th May 1985 was deliberately chosen as a starting point and enriched with a few details. The kit is yellow with very thin blue pin stripes that intersect with the logo on the chest. The logo with the mastiffs is the same as the one used for the 2024/25 Home shirt, with the addition of the number 40 at the top to commemorate the anniversary of the Scudetto, and the words 1985-2025 interspersed with the Italian flag. On the right, the technical sponsor Joma appears. In the back, just below the collar, the Italian flag is prominently displayed in the centre, to pay homage to the Bagnoli team. Another tribute element is the patch positioned on the inside, also under the collar, which includes the phrase of Roberto Puliero, the historic voice of the Gialloblù deeds, ‘AND THE CITY EXPLODED IN ITS LOUDEST SHOUT’.
The special shirt, produced in both a short-sleeved and a long-sleeved version, was made, not by chance, in 1.985 numbered copies, as reported on the label applied to the bottom right.
THE VIDEO
The video, made in collaboration with AQuest, is intended as a tribute to the fans and the emotions they experienced on 12th May 1985: the initial anxiety, the despair at Atalanta's goal, up to the irrepressible joy at Elkjaer's equaliser, culminating in the celebration of an entire city.
AQuest took care of every detail of the project, from writing the script to the final delivery of videos and photographic assets for the campaign. The project took three days of filming, involving 28 extras and using three different locations. The enthusiasm of those who took part in the project made it possible to create content that enhanced this historic milestone and the identity of the Club.
AN ECOLOGICAL JERSEY FOR A SUSTAINABLE PLANET
As with the jersey Home 2024/25, Joma intends to reaffirm its commitment to caring for the environment with this special kit. For this reason the shirts are made of 100% recycled polyester.
The special jersey has been made using the best technologies in the sector. In the areas of maximum perspiration the fabric has been treated with the MICRO-MESH system, a technology that guarantees breathability and an effective release of body heat.
The seams are flat and made using the FLATLOCK system, to avoid possible friction on the skin. Every detail and customisation element is designed to guarantee total comfort: all the logos are in fact applied using the JOMA SPORTECH system, which involves the use of an extremely flexible and resistant material fixed to the fabric by heat, thus avoiding possible rubbing.
A JERSEY THAT WILL DO GOOD
The shirts worn by the Gialloblù in Verona-Lecce will be auctioned on MatchWornShirt in support of Hellas Verona Foundation, our charity that for three years has been supporting projects and charitable activities of associations in Verona and its province, but not only.
