Welcome Back, Coach! Marco Baroni Appointed New Head Coach of Hellas Verona

Verona - Hellas Verona FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Marco Baroni as the new head coach of the First Team, effective from 1 July. Baroni has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2028, with an option to extend for a further season until 2029.

Born in Florence on 11 September 1963, Baroni returns to the Gialloblù bench following his spell in charge during the 2023/24 season, which ended with the team securing Serie A survival and finishing 13th in the league table. Earlier in his career, he was also part of Verona’s coaching staff in the 2002/03 season, serving as assistant coach to Alberto Malesani.

His connection with Hellas Verona began as a player: Baroni wore the Gialloblù shirt from 1995 to 1998, making 93 appearances and scoring nine goals across Serie A, Serie B and the Coppa Italia.

During his managerial career, he has achieved two promotions to Serie A, leading Benevento to the top flight in 2016/17 and Lecce in 2021/22. He has also successfully secured Serie A survival with both Lecce and Hellas Verona.

Hellas Verona FC warmly welcomes Coach Marco Baroni and all members of his staff back to the Club and wishes them every success in their work.
