Welcome Rachel, new Gialloblù player!

Verona – Hellas Verona Women announces the signing of defender Rachel Avant, who has signed a contract with the Gialloblù club running until 30 June 2027.

Born on 22 September 1993, Rachel Avant is a versatile defender capable of playing as both a centre-back and a full-back. After starting her career in US college soccer with the University of Louisville, where she played from 2014 to 2016, she joined the Orlando Pride that same year. She then embarked on a European career path that first took her to Sweden with Kungsbacka DFF, followed by spells in Germany representing Frankfurt, Wolfsburg, and 1. FC Saarbrücken, gaining valuable experience across the first and second Frauen-Bundesliga.

In 2020, she moved to France to join ASJ Soyaux before continuing her journey with FC Nantes, FH Hafnarfjörður (Iceland), SK Sturm Graz (Austria), and Apollon Ladies (Cyprus). With the Cypriot side, she lifted four trophies, including the league title and the Super Cup, and featured in Round 1 of the UEFA Women's Champions League.

During the 2025/26 season, she played in the Finnish league with FC KTP.
