2024/25 Women's Serie B | Bologna wins at ‘Bonarelli’
Granarolo dell'Emilia (BO) - It ended 4-0 Hellas Verona-Bologna, 24th fixture of the 2024/25 Women's Serie B.
Turning to the report, in the 4th minute Bologna tried to make their presence felt with Nocchi who, pouncing on the rebound of Sondergaard's shot from outside the box, shot from a few steps away without reckoning with Valzolgher who, with her goal-line clearance, conceded a corner.
The Emilia-based team tried again in the 12th minute thanks to a move again started by Nocchi: after feigning to shoot, the Rossoblù number 7 played the ball to Giai who, from the heart of the penalty area, shot powerfully but high.
In the 33rd minute Bologna took the lead when Sondergaard received a cross from the edge of the area from Giai, and shot first time past Valzolgher.
Ten minutes later, in the 43rd minute, the Rossoblù doubled their lead thanks to a goal from Giai who, with his left foot, shot right into the top corner of the net.
The first half ended 2-0 without any time for a half-time break.
In the second half, Verona tried to respond. In the 48th minute, Mancuso just failed to head in Capucci's cross when the goalkeeper was already beaten.
Two minutes later, Naydenova rose highest in the area to head a free kick from distance but hit the post to Shore's left.
Verona tried again in the 58th minute, this time with Peretti who shot hard from distance, once again challenging the Rossoblù goalkeeper.
Four minutes later, in the 62nd minute, Verona hit the second woodwork of the match. Dallagiacoma, set off on the counterattack by a teammate, shot with a low touch from a few steps away but the ball crashed on to the crossbar, after another important intervention by Shore.
In the 83rd minute Bologna made it 3-0. Kustrin, from the right of the field, crossed the ball to the substitute Gelmetti who, in front of Valzolgher, only had to tap the ball into the net.
In the 90th minute Kustrin scored Bologna's fourth goal, flying towards the goal with a touch of the ball that Valzolgher couldn't do anything about.
After three minutes of added time, the match ended with the final score 4-0.
Verona's next match will be on Sunday 13 April (3 pm) when the Yellow-Blue will face Cesena at the 'Olivieri' stadium, a match valid for the 25th fixture of the 2024/25 Women's Serie B.
