A new midfielder for Verona: welcome Ayanda!

Verona - Hellas Verona FC announces that they have acquired - outright - from Racing Club de Lens the sports performance of Belgian midfielder Ayanda Sishuba.

Born on 2nd February 2005 in Belgium, Sishuba grew up in the youth ranks of Royal Excel Mouscron, a Belgian first division club, where he played from 2009 to 2018 excluding a three-year stint at Lille between 2014 and 2017.

In July 2021, he was signed by Lens and played six matches with three goals in the Under 17s, and was then permanently attached to the Under 19 formation, as an under-age player, with whom he made 22 appearances and scored four goals.

During the 2022/23 season, while playing in the Under 19s, he also collected 25 appearances and nine goals with Lens B, a club that plays in Championnat National 3, the fifth division of French football.

During the 2023/24 season, he played in the UEFA Youth League with the Under-19 team, scoring three goals in six appearances. He played 11 matches with Lens B, scoring three goals, and also made his first-team debut in the same season, playing seven matches.

In the national team, Sishuba wore the Belgium jersey in the Under 17, Under 18 and Under 19, collecting 15 appearances and five goals across all categories.

Hellas Verona FC extends a warm welcome to Ayanda, wishing him a future in the Yellow-Blue shirt full of satisfaction, both personal and as a team.
