Coppa Italia Women 2026/27 | Gialloblù to make their debut tomorrow at home against Moncalieri

Verona - The Gialloblù are ready to take to the pitch for their first competitive fixture of the season in the Coppa Italia Women.

The opponent that head coach Vincenzo De Martino's side will face this week is Moncalieri, coached by Franco Semioli. The match, valid for the preliminary round of the Coppa Italia Women, will take place on Sunday 30 August at 5PM at the 'Olivieri' Stadium in Verona and will be available to watch for free via live streaming on Hellas Verona's YouTube channel.

After finishing 12th last season, the Gialloblù have strengthened their squad with numerous new arrivals and are looking to build on the excellent performances produced during their first pre-season outings, including a 4-2 win over Parma, a Serie A side. This match will also be Hellas head coach Vincenzo De Martino’s first official game in charge, as he begins his new journey at the helm of the team.

Moncalieri will compete in next season's Serie B Women. For the Turin-based side, this will be their first-ever participation in the second tier, having earned promotion by winning the Serie C playoffs in the 2025/26 season. Last 24 May, Semioli's side defeated Orobica Bergamo in the final thanks to a decisive goal from Repetti in the 24th minute, securing promotion to Serie B.

The winner of the match will face Sassuolo in the first round, which will be played between 19 and 20 September.

These are the words of head coach Vincenzo De Martino on the eve of the match: "The first competitive match brings a lot of emotions with it, and adrenaline is certainly one of them. There is a great desire to take to the pitch, and we feel proud of all the work we have done during pre-season. We have worked well this week, always maintaining a high level of concentration and training intensity. Moncalieri are a team that never gives up, so we will have to be careful not to underestimate them. It will be a difficult match and we will have to be stronger than them".

The referee for the match will be Sabri Ismail (AIA Rovereto Section), while the assistant referees will be Marco Bortoluzzi (AIA Conegliano Section) and Francesco Dogliani (AIA Conegliano Section).
