From Denmark for the Yellow-Blue attack: welcome Casper Tengstedt
Verona - Hellas Verona FC announces that they have acquired - on loan with an option to buy - from Sport Lisboa e Benfica the sports performance of Danish forward Casper Tengstedt.
Born on 1st June 2000 in Viborg, in the north of Denmark, Tengstedt began his career in the youth academy of Midtjylland, Danish club where he played from 2015 to 2019, before being loaned to Nürnberg II, where he made his debut on 7 September 2019 in the fourth German league.
In the 2020/21 season he is transferred, again on loan, to Horsens, with whom he makes his debut on 13th September in the Danish top division. At the beginning of the following season, in the NordicBet Liga, the Danish cadet league, the player was acquired on a permanent deal and became the mainstay of the attack, scoring 15 goals in 29 games, which allowed the club immediate promotion to the top league.
His performances attracted the attention of Rosenborg, who made his purchase official on 11th August 2022. The third place finish, reached thanks to his 15 goals scored in 14 matches in Eliteserien, Norway's top league, permitted them access to the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
On 12th January 2023, he was signed by Benfica, a club with which he won the Portuguese league and Super Cup in 2023. With Benfica he scored 4 goals and 7 assists in 31 appearances in the 2023/24 season, making his Champions League debut on 20th September 2023.
In the national team, Tengstedt has suited up for Denmark in the Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21.
Hellas Verona FC send their warmest regards to Casper, wishing him a future in the Yellow-Blue shirt full of satisfaction.
