From France for Verona's attack: bienvenue Mathis!

Verona - Hellas Verona FC announces that they have acquired - on a permanent agreement until 30 June 2029 - from Stade Rennais Football Club the sports performance of French forward, with origins in Guadeloupe, Mathis Lambourde.

Born on 9 January 2006 in Les Lilas, a French commune in the Seine-Saint-Denis department, near Paris, he began his football career in the youth academy of Paris Saint Germain.

On 1 July 2018, he moved to the youth team of JA Drancy, a club that plays in Championnat National 3, the fifth division of the French football league, remaining there for the next three seasons.

During the 2021/22 season, he moved to Rennes, where he was included in the Under-17 formation for one year. The following season, he played with the Under-19 team, making 18 appearances and scoring 13 goals.

In the 2022/2023 season, he was attached to Rennes B, and was also employed three times by the first team, making his debuts in Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Europa League respectively.

In the national team he dressed the French Under-17 shirt, collecting 15 appearances with 9 goals, and the Under-18 shirt, with 5 appearances .
