Gialloblù Youth Sector | Weekend Match Preview
Verona - The final weekend of October brings an action-packed Sunday for the Gialloblù youth teams.
Massimo Pavanel's Primavera 1 wraps up a demanding week with an away fixture against Genoa. Hellas, coming off a penalty shootout defeat against Pro Vercelli in the Coppa Italia, must bounce back immediately in the match scheduled for Sunday, November 1, at 1:00 PM at Genoa's 'Sciorba Stadium'.
Francesco Caldana's Under 18 squad visits Fiorentina for Matchday 9 of the league. The Gialloblù, tenth in the standings, face the division's second-placed side, who delivered a commanding 3-0 win over Milan in the previous round. Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 1.
Following an emphatic 5-1 victory over the Rossoneri at the Vismara center, Fabio Moro's Under 17 team, sitting third in the table with 13 points from their first 7 matches, returns to action. Standing in the Gialloblù's way is Südtirol, who have lost five consecutive games, with their last win dating back to the season opener against Mantova. The fixture will take place on Sunday, November 1, at 3:00 PM on the artificial turf in Appiano (BZ).
No official matches are scheduled for the Under 16 and Under 15 squads, as both leagues are off this weekend. Fans will have to wait two weeks to see Alessandro Montorio's and Jacopo De Paolini's sides back on the pitch, when both teams travel to Bolzano to take on Südtirol.
The Under 14 and Under 13 teams are also on a bye week from official fixtures.
Enrico Donadoni's Under 12 squad will compete in the 2nd edition of the 'Veronello International Cup', kicking off Saturday, October 31, in Calmasino (VR) and concluding on Sunday, November 1, with the knockout stages.
Hunting for another three points is Daniele Marchi's Under 11 side, fresh off a convincing 4-0 win against Noi La Sorgente. This Sunday at 9:45 AM, the young Gialloblù travel to face Real Grezzanalugo.
On the women's side, coach Ederle's Primavera side plays early, hosting Como 1907 Women on Matchday 6: kickoff is set for Saturday, October 31, at 2:30 PM.
