
Hellas Verona at the ‘Mentalmente in Campo’ tournament for the UNAR anti-racism week
Verona - This afternoon, Friday 21 March, a delegation from Hellas Verona travelled to the De Stefani Sports Centre in Verona, where the 5-a-side football tournament ‘Mentally on the Field’ took place, reserved for Mental Health Departments and Centres.
The event, part of the anti-racism week called by UNAR-National Anti-Racial Discrimination Office between 17 and 23 March, is part of the project SIC! Sport, Integration, Cohesion project promoted by Uisp Nazionale in collaboration with Lega Serie A, Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri, Dipartimento per lo Sport, UISP Verona, Comune di Verona, DSM Ulss9 Scaligera and Hellas Verona.
Representing the club was the Head of the Technical Area of Hellas Verona Women Zaccaria Tommasi, who donated a Hellas Verona jersey for the occasion and made a few statements: ‘We strongly believe that football and sport should be important tools for integration and social cohesion and that they can break down any discriminatory barrier. We are happy to be here today and to be able to participate in this event in the anti-racism week called by UNAR and supported by the Lega Serie A'.
