Primavera 1 2026/27 | Como beat Verona 1-0

Como - Como-Hellas Verona ended 1-0 on Matchday 7 of Primavera 1 2026/27.

Looking back at the match action, Como started aggressively, winning two corners in quick succession in the 4th minute. From the resulting delivery, Zamagni crossed for captain Grilli, who rose high to connect with a header: an alert Raccanello pushed it behind for another corner.

In the 9th minute, Verona bypassed Como's high press and pushed down the right through Costa Pisani. The Gialloblù number 72 reached the byline and crossed toward the near post for Buniotto, who beat the Como defense to the ball but headed wide.

Two minutes later, De Rossi pounced on a high turnover following an error in Como's buildup and fired from distance, sending his effort over the crossbar.

In the 16th minute, Turella stripped a dangerous ball away from Peci and drove toward the edge of the box, unleashing an inswinging right-footed effort that whistled past Raccanello’s right-hand post.

Hellas once again evaded Como’s press. In the 20th minute, Akalé received from Peci and slipped a pass through to De Rossi, whose strike from the heart of the box was deflected behind for a throw-in.

In the 25th minute, Como threatened through Mazzara. The number 10 collected a through ball in the center of the box, spun on the turn, and struck a powerful left-footed shot off-target from a promising position.

Verona re-emerged near Damioli's goal in the 36th minute. Contarini went long to pick out Akalé, who spearheaded the Gialloblù counter. The number 28 took on his marker, pushed the ball toward the byline, and delivered an inviting cross toward Buniotto, who missed connecting by mere inches.

In the 39th minute, Como came close to breaking the deadlock: Mazzara won possession from Moisa on the edge of the area and opted not to shoot, looking instead for a teammate inside the box, which allowed Luchetti to make a vital intervention.

The first half concluded without added time at 0-0.

In the second half, the hosts registered the first effort in the 48th minute. Baralla collected the ball at the edge of the area, shifted onto his right foot, and dragged an angled shot wide of Raccanello’s goal.

Hellas continued to look dangerous on the break. In the 52nd minute, Contarini broke down the flank to the byline and sent a delivery toward Costa Pisani's run into the middle: the Gialloblù number 72 was unable to get a clean connection on the volley.

In the 63rd minute, Bisoffi drove down the right, cut inside, and fed Akalé; the Gialloblù number 28 threaded a left-footed through ball into the path of Buniotto, who was denied by a decisive goal-line intervention from the Lariani defense to concede a corner.

Five minutes later, Como responded. Mazzara seized on a loose ball on the edge of the box and went for a first-time left-footed strike toward the far post, firing high. Mazzara remained the most dangerous threat for the hosts.

In the 77th minute, the Biancoblù number 10 cut in from the right flank and looked for the far post with a curling left-footed effort: Raccanello flew across to tip it around the post for a corner. From the resulting delivery, Mazzara again gathered at the edge of the box and tried his luck, this time with his right foot: another deflection brought another corner, from which Grilli’s header was comfortably gathered by Raccanello.

In the 87th minute, Como found the breakthrough. Baralla drove through the middle toward the box and struck with his right foot, beating Raccanello courtesy of a decisive deflection off Luchetti. The hosts took a 1-0 lead.

In stoppage time, Verona pushed for a leveler with a free-kick from three-quarters of the pitch, cleared away by the Como defense. Off the rebound, Mussola struck a long-range volley that failed to hit the target.

Following 5 minutes of stoppage time, the match ended in a 1-0 defeat.

Verona’s next fixture takes place on Sunday, October 25 at 1:00 PM, when the Gialloblù take on AlbinoLeffe at the 'Olivieri' Stadium on Matchday 8 of Primavera 1 2026/27.
