Primavera 1 2026/27 | Roma away awaits Verona

Verona - Head coach Massimo Pavanel's Primavera 1 side returns to action one week after their last competitive fixture against Genoa.

In their final outing before the November international break, Hellas Verona are ready to head to the capital to take on Roma in their second consecutive away game. The match is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, at 1:00 PM at the 'Tre Fontane' Stadium in Rome and will be broadcast live on Primavera TV.

Coach Pavanel's lads head into the fixture off the back of last Sunday's draw against Genoa at the 'Sciorba Stadium'. After leading for most of the game courtesy of Contarini's maiden goal in a Gialloblù shirt, Verona were pegged back late on by Doucouré's equalizer.

Through the opening nine matchdays, Hellas have collected nine league points and have recorded three draws and two defeats in their last five outings. The Gialloblù now face a high-profile test against third-placed Roma, who come into the game following a midweek Youth League draw in Manchester. Verona have been searching for a win since Matchday 4, when De Rossi and Gardin scored one apiece to seal victory over AC Milan.

Coached by Mattia Scala, Roma returned to winning ways in Primavera 1 in their top-of-the-table clash against Inter, regaining both points and morale after back-to-back draws against Genoa (2-2) and Empoli (1-1), as well as their first defeat of the season away to Torino (2-1). Alongside Parma and Fiorentina, the Giallorossi boast the best defensive record in the league so far (10 goals conceded) and have racked up 16 points from their first nine league games.

In the 2026/27 campaign, Roma are also competing on the European stage in the UEFA Youth League. Across the four matchdays played so far, the capital club has picked up seven points, courtesy of two wins, one draw, and one loss, and currently sits 11th in the standings.

Here is what head coach Massimo Pavanel had to say on the eve of the match: "On Sunday, we face one of the title contenders alongside Inter and Parma. They are coming off a good draw in the Youth League against Manchester United; we know they are among the best sides in Italy, which will make this a tough challenge. They will also feature a few players who regularly train or play with the first team, so they will be at full strength. We are coming off a solid performance against Genoa, and we'll go there to give everything we've got, as always. We'll try to play our game and make life difficult for a Roma side that is a contender for the title".

The match referee will be Giosué Ambrosino (AIA Torre del Greco), assisted by Mario Scala (AIA Castellammare di Stabia) and Orazio Nicodemo (AIA Sapri).
