Sammarco: “A victory we really wanted, a great match from everyone”

Genoa - Coach Paolo Sammarco's comments at the end of Genoa-Hellas Verona, matchday 31 of the Primavera 1 2024/25 championship.

Coach, how would you analyze the game? “We're very happy. It wasn't easy to put in this kind of performance after conceding a goal, but the boys reacted brilliantly. For long periods we dictated the play, we had lots of chances and could have taken the lead much earlier, and we suffered very little from their attacks, with the exception of one occasion when we were careless and they hit the post. I think we all played a really great game, with great desire and participation. The guys deserve this result because, I repeat, they played a super game, and the victory is deserved because we believed in it until the end. We wanted it at all costs”.
