Serie B Femminile 2026/27 | Verona host Genoa in tomorrow's early kickoff

Verona - Following their away victory against San Marino Academy, the Gialloblù return to the pitch at the 'Olivieri' stadium.

Serie B Femminile hits its stride with the clash scheduled for Saturday, October 24 at 4:00 PM between Hellas Verona Women and Genoa, valid for Matchday 6 of the league campaign. The match will be broadcast live on VivoAzzurro TV.

To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an information booth run by representatives of the GI.A.DA association will be set up at the 'Olivieri' stadium to raise awareness on the issue and promote women's health. In support of the campaign, players from both sides will also take to the pitch wearing the association’s pink shirts.

The squad led by manager Vincenzo De Martino comes off an encouraging 0-2 victory that revitalized the Scaligere's league ambitions. Santoro's third goal of the season and Valentina Colombo's first strike sealed all three points, handing San Marino Academy the defeat. Three crucial points that, added to those earned against Cesena and Moncalieri, lifted Hellas into seventh place, tied on points with Bologna.

Sitting just two points behind, with 3 wins and 2 defeats from their opening five fixtures, are Genoa. Coached by Roberto Briata, who took over in late September following Ilaria Leoni, the side arrives in Verona looking to bounce back from a setback against Lumezzane in the previous round. Coming off relegation to Serie B, Genoa entrusted the Rossoblù bench to the experienced Piedmontese tactician with the clear goal of returning to Serie A as quickly as possible. Spurred on by the goals of former player Söndergaard, the Ligurian outfit strung together three straight victories against Brescia, Vicenza, and Catania prior to the international break, before slipping slightly down the table after their defeat to Lumezzane.

Here are the words of head coach Vincenzo De Martino ahead of the match: "We know we are facing a strong opponent with quality and key players. Genoa commands respect, so we will need to prepare for the match in the best possible way, with sharp focus, high intensity, and a strong spirit of sacrifice. I expect a hard-fought contest with a fast pace and decisive individual duels. We will have to stay focused, play with personality, and capitalize on the chances we create. We have our own strengths and tactical ideas, and we’ll look to put them into practice to deliver a strong performance. In the end, the pitch will decide."

The match referee will be Alexandru Dumitrascu (AIA Finale Emilia section), assisted by Francesco Cerino and Daniele Vicari (both AIA Lucca section).
