Serie BKT 2026/27 | Verona beat Carrarese 3-0 at the 'Bentegodi'
Verona - Hellas Verona-Carrarese ended 3-0 on Matchday 10 of the 2026/27 Serie BKT.
Turning to the match action, Carrarese won possession in the attacking third in the 2nd minute and went for goal through Topalovic, forcing Perilli to dive and turn the ball behind for a corner.
Hellas responded five minutes later. Le Borgne delivered a cross from the final third for Mosquera, whose towering header was held by Pizzignacco.
Verona took the lead in the 10th minute. Le Borgne played it inside from the right to Bernede, who played a first-time vertical pass into the box for Zappa. The Gialloblù full-back laid it off for the incoming Harroui, who struck an angled right-footed effort past Pizzignacco via a deflection off Oliana. At the 'Bentegodi', it was 1-0 to Hellas.
The visitors attempted an immediate response. In the 14th minute, Schiavi collected a cleared corner at the edge of the area and curled a right-footed effort toward goal: Perilli punched it away into the path of Braunöder, forcing the Scaligero goalkeeper into a sharp double save in quick succession.
In the 22nd minute, Hellas doubled their advantage. Perilli sent a long ball forward for Mosquera, who was initially tracked by Reale. The visiting defender miscued his backpass to Pizzignacco, allowing the Colombian striker to snatch the ball away, round the keeper, and slot into an empty net to make it 2-0 to Verona.
Two minutes later, Mosquera nearly made it three. Sarr surged down the left wing on a feed from Bernede and pulled a cutback to the Gialloblù number 25, who opened up his right foot from the edge of the box and fired over the bar.
Verona threatened again in the 31st minute. Frese released Sarr, who took on Ruggeri, beat him, and picked out Sezonienko in the center of the box from the left: his first-time left-footed effort flew over the crossbar.
Hellas kept pressing and found their third in the 38th minute. Sezonienko broke through the middle and spread play to Sarr on the left. The Gialloblù winger carried the ball to the edge of the area, cut inside, and hit a low strike toward the far post: Pizzignacco got a fingertip to it, deflecting it off the post and into the back of the net to give Verona a 3-0 cushion at the 'Bentegodi'.
In the 40th minute, Carrarese came close to pulling one back. Abiuso flicked on a header for Topalovic, whose acrobatic bicycle kick shaved the post to Perilli's right.
With no stoppage time added, the first half concluded at 3-0.
In the second half, Mosquera nearly secured a brace in the 49th minute. Bernede won possession and threaded a through ball to the Scaligero striker, who turned and unleashed a curling effort from distance, with Pizzignacco gathering on the second attempt.
Verona were on the attack once more in the 61st minute. Zappa spread the play wide to Livramento, who took on Rouhi, beat his marker, and whipped in a dangerous cross that neither Mosquera nor Sarr could turn home.
A minute later, Rubino tested Perilli with a header from a corner kick, which was then cleared by the Verona defense.
Verona continued to press out wide. In the 69th minute, Harroui combined with Sarr down the left, cut back onto his right foot, and crossed from the byline toward Mosquera: the forward flicked a header toward the back post for Livramento, who failed to make clean contact.
In the 78th minute, Perilli pulled off a brilliant top-hand save to deny Cisse's right-footed strike from the edge of the area that was destined for the top corner.
Not satisfied with three, Hellas pushed for a fourth through Livramento. In the 84th minute, the number 14 collected from Le Borgne on the right, took on Ruggeri, and unleashed a powerful right-footed drive from the corner of the box, sending it over Pizzignacco’s crossbar.
In the closing stages, Verona comfortably managed their three-goal lead. Following 3 minutes of stoppage time, the match ended in a 3-0 victory.
Verona's next fixture will be on Saturday, November 7 at 5:15 PM, when the Gialloblù travel to face Mantova at the 'Martelli Pata Stadium' on Matchday 11 of the 2026/27 Serie BKT.
