Welcome Karol Swiderski, new Yellow-Blue striker!

Verona - Hellas Verona FC announces the acquisition of Poland striker Karol Swiderski from Charlotte FC.

Born on January 23rd in 1997 in Rawicz, Poland, Swiderski grew up in the youth teams of Rawia Rawicz and SMS Łódź, before moving in the 2014/15 season to Jagiellonia in the Polish top football league, the Ekstraklasa.

The striker made his professional debut with Jagiellonia on August 23rd in 2014, and in the same season he made seven appearances, in which he scored one goal and two assists. Swiderski played with the Polish Club from August 2014 until December 2018, years in which he scored 25 goals and 9 assists in 128 total appearances.

Swiderski made his debut in European competitions on July 2nd in 2015, when he entered the field in the 80th minute of the match between Jagiellonia and Kruoja valid for the first leg of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, a match decided by the first European goal of the Polish striker and it ended 1-0.

In January 2019 the stricker moved to Greece to Paok Salonicco, a Club with which he made his debut on January 27th of the same year in the 4-0 victory over OFI Crete in Souper Ligka Ellada, the top Greek national championship. In the following championship round, Swiderski scored his first goal of the tournament: the decisive goal in the 2-1 victory over PAS Giannina.

On August 13th in 2019 Swiderski also made his debut in the UEFA Champions League, in the return match of the third qualifying round played against Ajax. The Polish striker plays with the PAOK shirt until January 2022. In 96 total appearances, distributed between the championship and play-offs, he collects 30 goals and 12 assists and wins the Greek championship and a Greek Cup in 2019, a trophy he wins again also in 2021.

In February 2022 the stricker moved to MLS, and in the American championship he made his debut with the Charlotte FC shirt on March 6th 2022 against the Los Angeles Galaxy. In total, the stricker made 62 appearances in the US, including matches played in MLS and in the play-offs, in which he scored 22 goals and 10 assists.

With the Polish national team he made his Under 18 debut on March 25th 2015, and with this selection he scored five goals in 4 appearances. He then moved from the Under 19s to the senior national team, with which he made his debut on March 28th 2021 and collected 10 goals in 28 games.

Furthermore, in his palmares the stricker can boast participation in the UEFA Euro 2020 European Championship, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the UEFA Nations League A 2022/23, competition in which he scored two goals in three appearances.
