Cuore Gialloblù 2024/25 | First victory for Ghilardi in #VeronaParma
Verona - Daniele Ghilardi is the winner of the 30th stage of Cuore Gialloblù, the poll that for the past eight years has allowed fans to elect, through their votes on Verona's Instagram Stories, the Hellas player who has distinguished himself the most in each single league match.
The Italian Under 21 defender won the Serie A League MVP award and first place in the 30th stage of the Cuore Gialloblù. In Verona's second consecutive clean sheet, Ghilardi put in a solid and focused performance, with two balls intercepted, four duels won and two key tackles. The first was on Bonny's shot in the first half, and the second was on Man's recovery in the second half. Thanks to this success, the Gialloblù number 87 has now reached 12 points, becoming the seventh player in double figures in the season's standings.
Second place goes to Ondrej Duda. The Slovakian midfielder has proven to be one of the fittest players in coach Zanetti's team, playing 90 minutes like a true leader. After the winning goal against Udinese, the 33 yellow-blue number showed his skills again in both halves against Parma, with seven duels won, six balls recovered, three dribbles completed and the usual classy moves to free his teammates. With these two points Duda climbs to second place alone, behind only his compatriot Suslov.
Third place goes to the other Italian Under 21 international, Diego Coppola. The Gialloblù central defender once again demonstrates his talent as a marker, with a 90-minute performance in which he records eight duels won, four balls recovered, four aerial duels and three tackles won. The yellow and blue number 42 thus adds another point to his tally, bringing his total to 7.
