FAQ - Answers to your questions

Does allocating 5×1000 have a cost? The 5×1000 is a portion of IRPEF (personal income tax) and does not constitute an additional expense for taxpayers. By choosing where to allocate it, citizens can decide which organisation to support with a portion of the taxes they pay, which will vary according to their income.
What do I need to allocate 5×1000 to Hellas Verona Foundation? You simply need to write Hellas Verona Foundation and the tax code 93298200234 in the box labeled “Sostegno degli Enti del Terzo settore e delle Onlus iscritte all’anagrafe” when filling out your tax return (Form 730 or Modello Redditi).
How is the 5×1000 calculated? The 5×1000 calculation works as follows: once you know your net IRPEF tax (i.e. gross tax minus any deductions and any tax credits), multiply it by 5, then divide by 1,000. For example, if your net IRPEF tax is €4,000, the value of your 5×1000 will be €4,000 multiplied by 5 divided by 1,000 = €20.
What’s the deadline to allocate my 5×1000? The deadline for submitting the pre-filled Form 730 is September 30, 2025. The Income Tax Return Form (ex Unico) for individuals must be submitted by November 30, 2025.
If I don't sign, do I keep the money? No. If you choose not to allocate your 5×1000 to anyone, that portion of your IRPEF will still be paid to the State.
If I sign, will my details be sent to the Foundation I have chosen? No, the beneficiaries of the 5×1000 do not receive the names of the donors, as the State distributes the contributions anonymously.
What if I sign but don't write the code? In this case, the 5×1000 is divided proportionally based on the number of preferences received by the associations belonging to the category.
I don't have to submit a tax return. Can I still allocate 5x1000? Yes, you can allocate your 5×1000 even if you are not required to submit a tax return. Simply deliver the supplementary form included in your CU (Certificazione Unica) relating to the 5×1000 to the post office or bank. The form must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked "Scelta per la destinazione del 5×1000 dell'IRPEF" (indicating the name, surname and tax code of the contributor).
I already allocate the 8×1000, are they the same thing? No, the 5×1000 should not be confused with the 8×1000 (which is allocated to the State or religious institutions) or the 2×1000 (intended for political parties): these are different choices and you can choose to donate both.
